Football fan Thulani Ngcobo has set a new world record - by attending more World Cup matches than anyone else.Today he was celebrated by Guinness World Records as he notched up his 18th game by watching Chile v Spain at Pretoria, beating the previous record of 17 matches.
The 29-year-old from South Africa now intends to carry on and has plans to have watched a total of 38 live games by the time of the final.
Since the opening ceremony and the match between South Africa and Mexico, Ngcobo will have travelled 17,000 kilometres to nine host cities and watched 3420 minutes of football.

Speaking of his amazing feat Ngcobo said “I feel like I’m still dreaming this is not something I would have been able to afford without winning the competition.
