I didn't know that they made a backcountry version of the Segway; the regular city version looked dangerous enough. Jimi Heselden, the millionaire owner of the Segway company, died on Sunday when he was riding the X2 Adventure version of the scooter (pictured) on his property in England and apparently drove it off a cliff and into a river. Heselden, a former miner, also owns Hesco Bastion, a company that produces blast shields used by soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
